When you’re feeling happy, it’s because your body has released endorphins that make you feel good. So go ahead, laugh a little, it will reduce your stress. Stress is known to be a significant factor in aging.
Laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulates your heart, lungs, and muscles. It also soothes tension and can stimulate circulation and aid muscle relaxation, both of which help reduce some of the physical symptoms of stress. So remember…the next time you are faced with a situation that could have a tendency to interfere with your laughter, think about how GOD created this natural medicine for us all to benefit from. We just have to change our way of thinking and make a choice to utilize it.
Some things are beyond our control and acting out foolishly doesn’t help anything. We need to know that we are better than that. We can choose to participate in a rage of sins or be mature and stand up to positively make a difference out of the negative situation.
Some things are beyond our control and acting out foolishly doesn’t help anything. We need to know that we are better than that. We can choose to participate in a rage of sins or be mature and stand up to positively make a difference out of the negative situation. God knows all and we have to get back to trusting in HIM. What is this world coming to? If all of the effort put into destruction was put into taking a stand to create change, imagine all of the positiveness that could occur? Wanting to resort to violence to solve violence won’t ever equate to a positive outcome. It’s time for change!
I know everyone will not agree with what I’m saying but I was faced with prejudice many years ago. I could have responded with anger and sinful acts but chose to be better than that. I was a waitress back in the early 90’s at a Black Eyed Pea restaurant. There was an older white male who came in alone to dine one day. No one wanted to wait on his table because of his rude behavior displayed during previous dining experiences. I took on his table and had the most memorable experience. We started off rough as he didn’t want “someone of my kind” waiting on him. I could have responded in the same manner that he responded to me in but I chose to be better than that. The act of kindness was the choice I chose to display and it made that customer’s experience unforgettable! Before he left, he called me to the table and handed me a $20 bill for my tip on a check that was under $10. He told me “Young lady! I want you to know something. All of my life, I couldn’t stand black people. After having you wait on my table, my 52 years of being prejudice ends today. I’ve never met anyone like you and I thank you for changing my views and I apologize if I have insulted you in any way today. My grandparents and my parents were prejudice, but I’m breaking that cycle today.”
So I take the time to write this today in hopes of helping others to see that it is possible to help to create change in this sometimes cruel and ugly world. Remind yourself when facing a situation of adversity that “Change Starts With Me”! We don’t have to participate in the ways of the world and shouldn’t want to. Find the courage inside of you to be more!
It’s amazing how in life, it’s usually the deepest pain that empowers us to grow to our full potential. Why is that? I mean… why is it that we choose to not pay attention to all of the signs and wait for something so painful or tragic to occur to get us to react? When we stop and think back, we realize that every single sign was there, but yet we chose to ignore. Life lessons can sometimes be painful, but they do make us realize that the pain is something we will not want to experience again. We begin to realize that sometimes, the most upsetting and stressful situations are brought about to teach us lessons. So when you think that things seem to be falling apart, they are actually falling right into place for you! Being rejected from something we feel might be good, many times redirects us to something that’s much bigger and better!
