READY FOR ANOTHER WIN IN 2010!!!

Happy New Year EVERYONE!!!

I’m SO excited about this year!  This year marks my 5 year anniversary of being an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to see what God does!  HE’s been surprising me year after year!  My husband and I went out on a date last month and we had a very interesting conversation at our dinner table.  We were reflecting back to when I first became an entrepreneur and remembering the different situations God put me in.   I must admit…some were very tough, but I realized after the experience that I was put through the particular situations for a reason.  Each situation was to prepare me for something bigger and better HE had planned for me.  We chuckled a few times at some of the stories we remembered, but it was amazing after thinking about it, how everything went the way it was suppose to.  It’s sort of like when go through school and you have to pass finals in order to graduate to the next grade.  Well, when God has plans for you, you have to pass certain test to make sure you are prepared for what he has next for you.  Some of the test he put me through were pretty interesting!!!  The ones who have been following me, can probably recall some of them.  There were certain people and situations brought to me to tackle and OH MY GOODNESS…  some of them were pretty crazy!!!  I had to deal with integrity issues not only in business practices, but what hurt me so badly was that I saw so much of it in the Christian market.  I had the opportunity to work closely with so many Christian leaders and was highly disappointed at what was revealed to me.  I had the opportunity to see what really goes on behind “closed doors”.  I witnessed genuine good hearted people willing to work for the kingdom and being taken advantage of or being mislead.  Now, I’m not saying all of the ones I dealt with had issues, but I will say “a lot” of them were a disappointment.  I actually had one Christian leader of an organization tell me, “It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission,” when it came to making a decision their board needed to be informed about.  Now, I don’t know if this economy contributed to a lot of these behaviors or what, but if you are a Christian leader, I feel you should be an example of Christ.  Many of you have heard me use the example of going to the gym to workout.  If you are consistently going to the gym to workout, I should be able to see results from you working out.  It should be obvious.  If you are a Christian and doer of the word, it should be obvious.  I should be able to look at you and your life and it should reflect the same.

It’s a New Year and a great time to renew ways of thinking and ways of treating one another.  So when you think again at how bad the world is today or how you are a victim of circumstance, think again and remember that it’s up to you to make a change for the better.  It’s no need to hold back your blessing any longer!

If you are ready to get ahead and beat all of those naysayers you’ve dealt with in the past or face those challenges you been fighting for so long, this is the year to win!  Develop a plan and take action!

Stop Putting Your Dreams On Hold!

Do you give in to the excuses when it comes to accomplishing your dream?  If you really want something bad enough, you’ll find a way to get it.  That works the same with accomplishing your dream.  It will never come to reality if you keep giving in to excuses.  If you believe it will happen and take all of the necessary steps to make it happen, it will happen!  Write down what it is you want to do and go online to begin to research it.  There are so many resources online and the easiest way to find what you’re looking for is to “google” it.  Just type in what you want to know in the search field.  Find people who are already doing what you want to do and learn how they are doing it.  See how you can do things differently to stand out from them.

I have always believed in doing things in a step by step process so that I don’t get too overwhelmed.  Some of my clients have told me that they’ve wasted so much money at conferences because they were overloaded with so much information and when they got home from the conferences, they had buyer’s remorse. They purchased thousands of dollars worth of information, but didn’t even know where to begin.  Some of the content was way over their head.  You know, when you want to learn how to drive a car, you can’t just get behind the wheel and start driving.  It’s a step by step learning process.

Some people may need to get a mentor or coach to help them along the way.  When doing this, be sure it’s someone who really cares about helping you to succeed and is not just interested in your money.  Always do your research!  Don’t just have “anyone” mentor or coach you. Your time is just as valuable as theirs and you don’t need to waste your time and money on someone who really isn’t interested in your success.  See what others are saying about their experience with that person.  The internet is a wonderful tool to use when looking up people and companies. Now, I know not to believe EVERYTHING that I read, but if you consistently see the same negative complaint about someone or something, a flag should be raised, just as it does when you look up a company with the Better Business Bureau.  So, remember that you don’t have to keep putting your dreams on hold. That dream might be an opportunity to make a difference not only to you, but to someone else’s life as well.  You never know who’s watching you.  Be an inspiration starting today!

Going or Growing Through Life?

Some people are content where they’re at and see no need for advancement.  But then you hear them wishing they could travel here or wishing they could live there.  They’re wishing they could have this or that.  They are wishing they could, and don’t want to do what it takes to get it.  Don’t limit yourself.  Lack of education is no excuse.   People are utilizing the internet like crazy these days to learn how to do something.  It’s not always going to be easy, but you have to dedicate the time and effort.  There are alternate ways of learning new things to advance yourself.  Don’t just GO day  by day doing the same thing and wishing you had more.  GROW day by day and always strive for more!
