Money Making Ideas To Help Survive This Recession

Are you one of the ones letting this recession cause you to feel as if you are having that “setback”?  You’ll be amazed at how many business ideas that are  available that you can run right from your home!

I’m going to list five ideas you could look into working part-time to supplement your income or full-time!  If you don’t see ones that interests you, then maybe the ones I list will assist you in coming up with your own ideas.

So here we go:

1.  Pet Photographer:  If you love taking pictures and enjoy being around animals, this would be a great business idea for you!  You could go to places such as the local pet stores and vet offices and ask if you can leave business cards or fliers offering your services.

2.  Assistant To Seniors:  Some Seniors could use some extra help with errands and chores.  Not only would the Seniors be hiring you for your services, but their adult children would hire you to relieve them from some of the chores or just to have that re-assurance knowing someone else is available to call on.  You could advertise in Senior publications or websites.  There are also Senior or Retirement Living Facilities where you might be able to post fliers or leave business cards.

3.  Costume Rental:  Are you great at sewing?  Costumes are not only needed for Halloween, but for other occasions  such as plays, parties, benefits, etc.  You could cater to adults and children.

4.  Firewood Delivery Service:  Look into the prices of buying your wood in a rural area for cheap and then come into the city and sell it for 3 or 4 times what you paid for it.  Not only could you sell the wood to residential areas, but you could also target restaurants or businesses with fireplaces as well.

5.  Sell Your Food Product:  For those who have that special sauce or baked item that your family and friends love, start looking into marketing and selling it!  Be sure to look into all of the health official requirements and things of that sort before you begin pushing it.  Great places to sell could be trade shows/exhibits, flea markets, website, etc.

Get It In Writing

There may be individuals out there who tend to cloud your business judgment.  People may try to deliberately tell lies to you or pretend to be friends with you just to get money, information or use out of you that benefits themselves only.  It can be disappointing at times when this occurs considering you are newly in business for yourself and you are putting trust in those you feel are truly your friend.  Always look at putting together a contract when partnering up with anyone or doing business with anyone.  Protect yourself and your company.  If the other party has a pre-written agreement they wish for you to sign, it’s ok to take your time to review it or have your own attorney to look over it before signing.  Any changes that need to made to it, should be discussed before signing.  Sometimes when you have the other party submit their agreement they have for you, you get an opportunity to actually see what they have in mind or expect from you.    So always take the time to review their agreement carefully before signing.  If you are needing assistance in coming up with creating your own contracts, there are a few really good websites out there such as www.legalzoom.com and www.echosign.com.   Echosign.com offers electronic signatures for those who wish to expedite the signing process.  There are pre-written contracts available for electronic signatures between you and the other party.   Log onto www.echosign.com and check it out!  It’s time to show everyone you’re doing business with that “It’s not personal, It’s Business”!
