If you look around at your surroundings, you will notice a change in community activities. There are fewer programs for after school care, sports, and educational programs to help kids sharpen their minds, or hand and eye coordination’s. There are more than normal hands full of businesses that are not open anymore. Yes the economy is moving at a different pace, but not for the lack of money. I would suggest to you that the grips of fear are spreading like wild flowers and the clutched fists are not releasing the currency as they should. That is ok, as long as you are aware of the demographics that are taking place and the season of the times that we are living in. What makes life most affective is your understanding of what season you’re in and knowing how to walk through this season to achieve success.
If you’re a student, pay attention to the methods of which you can gain a higher education. There are more avenues on the internet now where more colleges are offering you an education via the privacy in your own home. So don’t let your old way of thinking of furthering your education be hindered. Sit down and write out what you want to accomplish this year, next year, the next five years and over the next ten years. You need to access where you are right now and measure what it is going to take to get you where you desire to be. Find out how to apply for financial aid. Don’t just assume that you won’t qualify. If you have applied with an institution and you have been rejected, dust that “no” off of your feet and go to the next institution. Don’t just quit at the first obstacle of rejection. I want to ask you this question, where did you get the idea of getting an education? Or maybe it is a business aspiration or maybe you would like to further your business. Where did that idea, thought or dream come from? If God gave you the vision for it, then rest assured that it is yours to obtain it. You have to decide that you’re going to make some changes in your life in order to move into the direction of reaching your goals. You have to change your mindset and attitude. You may even need to meet with other like-minded individuals that are doing the mission that you want to achieve and get ideas of where to begin. I’m not saying sharing all of your heart and dreams with everyone because you would find out very quickly how hurtful some people can be when they see you stepping out of what they know of you. Some people can’t handle new beginnings with themselves or new beginnings with you so you have to be careful of whom you share your dreams with.
After you have received more knowledge of what you’re going after and how to reach that goal, start with one item to become productive. You walk this step out over and over again until you produce something every day until you have produced not only a product, but you have produce a practice and methodology of what works and what doesn’t. What do you need to cut in order to be productive? Is it frivolous spending on things that will dissipate in a few hours or evaporate in a month or two? You are going to have to decide what is worth your time. Nothing takes the place of time. That is something that no one can get back once it’s gone. You can’t afford to invest your time in things and/or people who aren’t going anywhere. I’m all for helping people along the way, but I refuse to allow anyone to waste my time with their foolishness and poor excuses.
I have a heart of grace and mercy, but I have to have order and structure in order to keep building what God has given me to build on my journey. Just as I’m applying these methods in my life, I hope that my examples are tools that you can use to live by. I believe in having justice in my decisions and responsibilities. I have to have balance in my decisions, practices and everyday situations. I can’t be so one sided and strict that I create Legalism with no mercy and grace. Nor can I be so gullible that I have so much mercy that I have no boundaries, for this produces Liberalism. God wants you and I to be blessed and fruitful. In John 15:2, it reads, “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” As you follow the scriptures in business or ministry, God will only bless what you perform with and He has already given you all that you need inside of you! It takes time for all of your greatness to be unwrapped and developed. You may have achieved more than your eyes can believe, or more than your mind could have imagined. That is wonderful! So buckle up and get ready for more. As long as you have breath in your body, there is more that God wants to do in your life and through you. So as the clock Tic Toc’s in time, the best is yet to come and this world haven’t seen nothing yet!
